a NEW Emperor story!~
This will be an on-line Emperor story available only here. The plan is to post the story AS I DO IT,putting finished pages up and un-finished penciled pages as well,same size as drawn,then replacing them when they're inked-in.

December17-Yeah,I know this is coming slowly,and now even slower with the Holiday and all and interests and time having to be directed elsewhere--Page 7 in color now posted,enjoy.And Merry Christmas to us all..after this last year we deserve it!
November 22nd-inked page 7 posted.
November 20th-Page 7 pencils posted.You folks are gonna love this next sequence,done Brian Depalma style,split-screen..following the Emp's tv cooking show and the attempts of this poor lady to follow the recipe..she doesn't know what she's getting into!
October 21--After having a couple professional cartoonists visit the site and giving me feedback i've decided to 1) re-do the story so far..IN COLOR!
It was put to me "you're doing it in grey shades,why not just do it in color?"
I'm not real good with this coloring yet so bear with me..
And 2) to at least for now go with a smaller page size for quicker page-forming on the visitor's end,fine as long as it is still readable.
I trust you'll let me know how i'm doing...
The slow forming of the pages seems to be due to a combination of WHEN you visit and internet traffic-I uploaded pages 5 + 6 on a sunday afternoon at 4:00 and pages formed very slowly. I usually work on the site after midnight and the pages come-up real quickly,so I see what you folks have been complaining about.

Who IS this Emperor person anyway?!
The Emperor was created during my college radio days at the University of Maryland's WMUC FM88.1 in the early 1980's as a digest-sized pass-out comic book to give to the folks who visited me in the studio while I did the show,The Sub-Ether Waveband.
Little has been documented as to how this clown became the Emperor,but he's an enept,disinterested fellow,who succeds despite himself.
My humor writing is largely inspired by The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy series,Monty Python and Mel Brooks.
My cartooning style is inspired by Vaughan Bode,Robert Crumb and Chuck Jones.
I've never claimed to be a great cartoonist,I just enjoy doing this stuff for myself,and it turns out lots of others enjoy this stuff too,so I continue to document the mis-adventures of everyone's favorite cartoon despot. Previously published stories have gotten extremely favorable reviews from fans and professionals alike,and i'm gratified.
